For Indonesians everywhere, 17 August 1945 marks an important beginning for Indonesia. The National Independence Day is celebrated with raising our national flag, enjoying traditional games, and cutting the tip of the Nasi Tumpeng to celebrate.
For me, it’s a time of pride. I’m very proud to be an Indonesian, and love to continue sharing my culture with others. This year, I will be celebrating Independence Day at the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, DC.
Reblog your Indonesian pride :)
